This black box landline telephone recording unit by design is very discreet and even to a novice it is an extremely easy device to use – Simply ‘plug and play’.
Most landline telephone recorder units including our own are an adaption of high quality voice recording devices. As such they sometimes require some setting up and often require an external power source of some kind for extended deployment times. In addition, standard landline recorder units are more conspicuous and as a rule this means that are more difficult to conceal for discreet landline monitoring.
The Black Box Landline Recorder is small discreet and certainly not an obvious recorder or phone monitoring device. It requires absolutely no set up. The unit is pre-programmed to record when there is noise on the line that it is attached to and so whenever there is an incoming call or an outgoing call the unit will activate automatically to record by sides of the conversations in clear audio and then save when the call is complete. With a total recording storage time of 100 hours there is no need to service the unit too regularly.
How to Record Landline Phone Calls & Conversations
To listen back to the recorded calls, simply disconnect from the connected telephone line and connect to a computer (Windows or Mac) using the supplied USB lead. The computer will recognise the device as a memory storage device, so no special software is necessary. Each recording is a separate Wav file and so navigation between calls is made simple. The unit is powered by an internal rechargeable Lithium Ion battery (6 months standby / 60 hours call recording time), so when downloading files to the computer recharging of the battery will also take place.
Now we have added the option to secure your recordings, so that they cannot be listened to by someone who does not have authority. The optional device model has an encryption key added. Without the paired connection key lead, the recordings cannot be downloaded and listened to. Each connection key lead is individually programmed, so one will not work with any other Black Box Recorder unit. If you are worried about someone accessing the recordings without your knowledge, then please select the Encryption Key option from the package options menu.
Recording of landline calls maybe necessary for protecting your integrity or for recording nuisance calls for evidential purposes. Obviously using a telephone recorder in this way should be on your own phone in your own property.
