Live Smartphone Setup and DVR With Screen

This spy camera unit can now only be purchased with a screen making it easy to navigate through menus and settings. The non-screen version has unfortunately been discontinued. It allows smartphone setup and live viewing via a free app. The DVR features a built-in touchscreen for easy setup, convenient on-device playback, and intuitive control of settings. The recorder supports resolutions up to 1920×1080 (1080P HD) and 720p, and accepts SDHC cards up to 32GB (16GB included). Time and Date Watermarked Video Stamping

Constructed from durable and lightweight high quality plastics, the MP4 has an SD card recording system with manual, motion detection and overwrite options. Coupled with the ability to power from an external source whilst in recording mode enables the system to be used in static recording situations over an extend period of time if required. The time and date are watermarked onto the video, ensuring its admissibility as evidence. Recorded footage can be download to your iOS or Android device through P2P WiFi (20 metre range). Files are recorded in the latest industry standard H.264 .MOV format, ensuring compatibility with most devices.

The device has a stereo microphone that can clearly record voices within an approximate 7 metre radius.

Is the video recorded good enough to be able to recognise faces?

Absolutely yes, it is very easy to identify people on the footage as long as there is enough light in the environment that the recording takes place. The button camera uses a high-quality 1080P HD lens.

If video footage is required as evidence in court, does this package meet the requirements?

For video footage to be admissible as evidence, it must be watermarked with a time and date stamp. While there is an option to disable this feature, footage with the time and date stamp enabled should be accepted as evidence.

Can other cameras be used with the MP4 recording unit?

No, the unit is specifically designed to work only with the included camera, as it uses a specialised micro HDMI connector.

Can this system be used for static surveillance in addition to body-worn applications?

Yes, the MP4 recorder includes a motion activation feature and can operate in record mode while connected to a mains power supply. This allows for long-term static deployment scenarios.

Is it possible to play back video and audio footage on the player itself?

Yes, the MP4 recorder/player supports playback of both video and audio, featuring a built-in speaker for audio playback.

Is remote camera setup possible?

You will need to consider the following to use this equipment:

• When using the button camera on a shirt or coat you will need to make some minor adjustments to the garment to accommodate use of the button camera unit./li>
• Other than using the MP4, If you want to playback footage on a computer then an SD card interface would be required. Playback on a Smartphone would require the relevant on-the-go cable.
• If your computer legacy media player will not support playback of the recorded video files, then it maybe worthwhile downloading a free media player. We use VLC Media Player at Spy Equipment UK.
• An SD card is included as part of the package, although you can select a larger capacity memory card from the package options menu if required.
