Retained Standard Clock Functionality

This WiFi spy camera can function as a standard digital clock and is powered primarily from the mains supply, making it ideal for long-term surveillance where capturing events is crucial. High Definition Video – Motion Detection Recording

The front vertical face of the clock camera is fitted with a high-grade pinhole spy camera with through-the-lens motion detection recording as standard; however, the unit can be programmed to record continuously if required. It records high-definition 1920 x 1080 colour video with audio, which is stored on the included micro SD card for later viewing. This latest version of the spy clock now has totally discreet infrared illumination for nighttime recording, which means that excellent quality video can still be captured during low light and the darkest hours, yet there are no giveaway signs that the infrared LEDs are switched on, lighting the environment for the camera to see.

Full WiFi and IP Remote Monitoring

This new version of the spy clock also has full WiFi and IP capability. This enhancement represents a significant upgrade in functionality, providing users with greater flexibility and control over their surveillance activities. Discreet Design – No Telltale Signs

This spy camera is discreet because the controls and micro SD card slot are concealed behind a removable cover on the back of the clock. Additionally, the camera and low-light illuminator are cleverly designed into the front fascia of the product, so it appears to be a standard clock. The SD card recording system accepts a card up to a maximum of 32 GB (128 GB if the card is correctly formatted) providing ample recording capacity. Although a 16 GB SD card is provided as standard with this unit, we list an upgrade to a 32 GB micro SD card (see package options menu).

Windows And Mac Compatible

The footage recorded from this WiFi camera is stored on the inserted SD card in a format that can be easily played back on a Windows or Mac computer without special software. Recordings have a time and date stamp, making them perfect for evidential purposes. If the pre-installed computer media player cannot be used, we recommend VLC, a free downloadable player that we use in the Spy Equipment UK office.

Which way does the camera face?

The camera is located in the small grille on the front of the clock.

If somebody took the back cover off the unit, would they be able to tell that it wasn’t a standard LCD clock?

Yes, it would certainly arouse suspicion, although there is no particular reason to remove the cover, which appears to provide access to a battery compartment.

Can I view this camera remotely on my computer?

Currently, live viewing is only possible remotely on an iPhone or Android phone via the app.

How do I watch back the video recordings?

To review the recorded files, the micro SD card must be removed and connected to a computer. Alternatively, recordings can be viewed on a phone within approximately 50 metres of the camera system.

Does playing back the files require any special software?

No special software is needed, though some computers may require an updated media player. We recommend downloading VLC or KM Player, both of which are free and ensure trouble-free playback. The app is also required for playback on a phone.

Does this device record sound?

Yes, the device has a microphone capable of clearly recording voices within a radius of approximately 6 metres.

Is the video recorded good enough to be able to recognise faces?

Yes, the video quality is high enough to easily identify people, even in fairly low-light conditions.

• To view recorded video files, you will need a computer with an SD card slot or USB card reader, or a smartphone with an on-the-go cable.
• If your computer’s default media player doesn’t support playback, we recommend downloading a free media player like VLC, which we use at Spy Equipment UK.
